4th Day - Nara (part1)

Nara is located in the Kinai plain, less than one hour from Kyoto. We took the train to from Kyoto to there. Once we reached Nara station, we were just informed that we can tried Kimono, FOC! Only one day per month is free . We were so lucky.

The first place went was Todaiji,東大寺. It is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara.

Not only is Todaiji housing Japan's largest Buddha statue, but it is also the world's largest wooden building. This temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage. You can find out many deer call Sika deer, regarded as messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, roam the grounds freely.
Admission fee is 500 yen.
Nandaimon, the Great South Gate. Before entering Todaiji you need to pass through this gate.

Agyo, one of two great Nio guardians created by Unkei in 1203.



Tōdai-ji !



Pindola was one of the sixteen arahats, who were disciples of the Buddha. Pindola is said to have excelled in the mastery of occult powers,. It is commonly believed in Japan that when a person rubs a part of the image of Binzuru and then rubs the corresponding part of his own body, his ailment there will disappear.
