4th Day - Nara(part2)

Nanendo Front view

I'm still in Nara now. This is 5 story pagoda at Kofukuji 興福寺, which used to be the family temple of the Fujiwara, the most powerful family clan during much of the Nara and Heian Periods. At the height of Fukiware power, this temple consisted of over 150 buildings.

Today, a couple of buildings of great historic value including a three storied pagoda remain.

Resting...... still have a long distance need to walk ...

Our next destination was Gangoji.,元興寺 We did not enter to this temple because need to pay entrance fee again. Can't remember this was already how many times to pay entrance fee again. Besides, we can view the inside building from outside. Not much things to block it. haha.

Finish visiting the main places in Nara, we backed to Kyoto. This is Kyoto station.

Once we get out from Kyoto station, we can see this Kyoto tower infront of us.

My another coffee in Japan but not really delicious.

At night, Teresa and I suddenly wish to try the Japan's beer. We bought from nearby convenience shops. I think Japan's beer is more delicious and feeling better than Korea.

Today was the last day we stayed in Kyoto. Tomorrow, we will go to city of Japan, Tokyo !! HORRAYY !!

4th Day - Nara (part1)

Nara is located in the Kinai plain, less than one hour from Kyoto. We took the train to from Kyoto to there. Once we reached Nara station, we were just informed that we can tried Kimono, FOC! Only one day per month is free . We were so lucky.

Three sa po.

The first place went was Todaiji,東大寺. It is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara.

Not only is Todaiji housing Japan's largest Buddha statue, but it is also the world's largest wooden building. This temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage. You can find out many deer call Sika deer, regarded as messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, roam the grounds freely.
Admission fee is 500 yen.
Nandaimon, the Great South Gate. Before entering Todaiji you need to pass through this gate.

Agyo, one of two great Nio guardians created by Unkei in 1203.

Tōdai-ji !

Pindola was one of the sixteen arahats, who were disciples of the Buddha. Pindola is said to have excelled in the mastery of occult powers,. It is commonly believed in Japan that when a person rubs a part of the image of Binzuru and then rubs the corresponding part of his own body, his ailment there will disappear.

Pindola statue at Todaiji. It is located beside of the Todaiji main door.

Daibutsu of Todaiji.

Opening ceremony after renovation.

UNESCO World Heritage.

3rd Day - Kyoto (part2)

All the places we wanted to visit in Kyoto were temples. Next destination was Nanzenji, 南禅寺.It is a Zen Buddhist temple.Nanzen-ji is one of the Five Great Zen Temples of Kyoto.

Kyoto bus. I 'm very like here the bus services. You 're totally no need to worry and always need to ask around what is the next station. The information is well displayed on the screen.

Before entering this temple, need to pass by many shops.

This is the map of this temple. This temple is so BIG ! We were just able to visit apart only, the main buildings.

The main door is to enter Hojo. However, we did not enter because need to pay money again. One thing I don't like in Kyoto is you almost need to buy the ticket for each of the buildings. Not like buy one ticket can enter all the buildings. Sounds like quite strange.

This canal, called "Sosui", is a waterway constructed between Lake Biwa and Kyoto City. The water is drawn out at Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture, passes the Nanzenji temple and runs to Keage at Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto City. The construction of this canal was begun in 1881 and finished in 1890. The purposes of this canal lie at passing boats from Osaka Bay to Lake Biwa, spinning cotton by the energy of warer wheels, irrigating water, keeping water for fire prevention and so on.

Sanmon - The main gate of Nanzenji

Sanmon Sanmon

Sanmon was build in 1628 by Todo Takatora in memory of those who died in the civil War Oska Natsu-no-jin. On the upper floor there are various images of Bussha and paintings. However, we did not go up because ... need $$$ again. Ai...

Able to visit these few places only .

haha..ask people who wear Yukata to take photo with us.

Took bus again back to our lovely living place have a good rest.
Weather here was ultra super SUPER HOT !

At night, actually we don't have any plan for night. Since we have bought the one day pass, we plan to go out to find out the the place Ginza like to "hide", GION !

We wondered that there is another temple beside the road. Since we all very 3 8, we entered have a look .

I'm so pai seh when I asked a japanese girl where can we find out the Geiza. She pointed us to this road to wait our "target". We all were in "standby" mode because our target will appear anytime. Actually not only us, many foreigners were holding camera DSLR model(almost similar like seong yee camera) beside the road.

The name of this road is so .....花见小路,男人最爱

We were so dare to go in the red zone. Actually when I think back is quite dangerous and we all are so lucky nothing happen to us. You can see many old man were holding hand with young girl walking on the street. Really not understand already so old still want to try this kind of thing...sien ..don't know their body can afford or not ...

We bought ice-cream and waiting for the target. We had waited quite a long time. We 're just able to see the Geisha behind body 's shadow because they were running away and we can't catch up.

Mission fail. We better go home earlier have a good sleep. Tomorrow we will go to another state, Nara!
